Provençal and pastoral Christmas at Poterie Ravel

In our Aubagne workshops, in the heart of the earth and artisanal craftsmanship, we celebrate a pastoral Christmas, inspired by ancient customs and the cultural heritage of our region.

The Provençal Christmas is one of the richest in France: a legacy woven from pagan and religious traditions, perpetuated in great simplicity. Vigils, nativity scenes, clay figurines, table rituals, songs, and natural symbols compose this warm narrative passed down from generation to generation.

In our workshops, we honor the raw beauty of our clays, the softness of our enamels, and the pastoral world that accompanies the Provençal winter: the light of the vigils, the honey and red colors of the festivities, the greens of the pine forests, the rustic spirit of the shepherds and ancient villages.

Starting November 20, we invite you to come and prepare your Provençal Christmas at Poterie Ravel.

Whether you are a Provençal at heart or a newcomer, let yourself be guided and discover the rustic magic of our traditions.

Program for the day of December 6, 2025

• Opening at 9:30 AM and discovery of the settings
• From 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM – 3 tales of Provence for all ages - Duration 30 minutes each with Jean Guillon
• Tasting of wine/hot chocolate and 13 desserts throughout the day
• From 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM- Live Nativity, dance, songs, and Provençal tales thanks to La Poulido de Gemo
