It all starts in 1837...

It all began in 1837, the founding year of the factory, in the heart of the 19th century, in Aubagne, a region rich in clay. Since then, five generations have succeeded each other at the helm of the factory, each embodying the foundational values of the company in their own way: respect for the craft, love of the material, and a commitment to preserving artisanal expertise over time.

Over the decades, hundreds of ceramists have worked in the Ravel workshops. Their movements, their gazes, their precision have nourished the soul of the place. And while the tools may have evolved, the fundamentals have remained: here, everything is handmade, on-site. From the clay dough shaped in our workshops to the finishing touches on pieces coming out of the kiln, each object bears the mark of a job well done.

Today, Poterie Ravel is labeled as a Living Heritage Company, a state recognition that celebrates the excellence of French craftsmanship. The garden vases ranging from 10 to 120 cm adorn prestigious gardens such as those of the Château de Versailles or those belonging to individuals who love garden art. The colorful dinnerware pieces accompany friendly gatherings, large family meals, or romantic breakfasts. A Provençal craftsmanship, sincere and deeply rooted.
